Travel Insurance

Curtin University provides comprehensive Travel Insurance for approved Curtin travel, whether you are travelling within Australia domestically, or internationally. Through our membership with International SOS, you will also have access to 24 hour expert advice and assistance, during your journey.

This brochure is issued as a matter of information only, it does not amend, extend or alter the coverage afforded by the insurance policy. Private Travel Insurance allowance changes WEF 9 July 2018

For all Curtin approved travel booked after the 9 July 2018, the Private Travel Insurance allowance will cover a maximum of two (2) days of incidental private travel, when taken in conjunction with Curtin approved travel. 

If your private travel exceeds the two day allowance, it is your responsibility to source and fund, any personal insurance you may need.

To assist with this, Curtin maintains a private travel insurance offering available to Curtin Staff/Students with Chubb Insurance, which includes a 10% discount from the standard rates. This provides Private Travel Insurance, for annual multi-trip or single trips, and will cover trips that do not originate in Australia, but which are attached to Curtin approved travel.

Note: There is no obligation on Curtin Staff/Students to use this offering, however should you choose to do so, please note that terms, conditions, limits and exclusions apply to each type of cover. You must decide whether or not it is appropriate, in light of your own circumstances, and ensure you obtain and consider the Product Disclosure Statement for the policy before you make any decision to purchase it.
